It was well worth the wait.
We had a fabulous evening and the whisky was very well received.
A big thankyou to John Lamond who introduced the whisky and has given us his tasting notes.
Colour - Straw with pale gold highlights
Nose - Medium bodied and malty, showing lemon, a slight medicinal note, some cereal and toffee/vanilla; water softens it and brings out hazelnuts, zesty lemons and grapefruit.
Palate - Mediun-dry and rich with good body, vanilla and an oily, unctuous smoothness, very clean and with a character of American cream soda.
Finish - Long, soft, languorous and lazily decadent with the milky smell of a young baby's head and a little spice in the tail.
Notes - A great zingily fresh lunchtime malt,full of life and with the flavours of the hope of early summer.
The 8 year old is available bottled with our standard label (see below)

This whisky has matured for 18 years in a high quality bourbon cask bottled at strength 46%abv and is a rich golden colour.
Colour: Rich golden
Nose: aromatic, firm, rich. Apricot, citrus fruits. Pepper & butter toffee.
Taste: Smooth, oily. Grassy, lemony. Fruity - apple, pear. White flowers, cut grass.
Finish: Lingering, liquorice. Hints of melon, red fruits - raspberry, strawberry. Citrus.
Tasting notes are for guidance only. All are single cask bottlings therefore there will be variations in taste.
Hand bottled and labelled at the distillery.
There has been no chill filtration therefore the whisky may appear cloudy or contain fine sediment / charcoal from the cask.
