Colour- A lovely Golden syrup
Nose- An earthiness (dunnage warehouses) mixes in with the Caol Ila medicinalness , a slight hint of farmyard and nettles (I'm starting to get a lot of this in certain Islay malts....)
Palate- OMG ! The medicinalness is still there in huge dollops ! there's a very nice oakiness as well , lots of spices and pepper . A fantastic mouthfeel for such an old whisky .
Finish Huge finish , medicinal , oak spices , pepper . Goes on and on and on and on......
