I know; I do have that problem with bitter taste. One of the Glen Grants you bottled had that bitter touch that I don't like all that much. But does that mean it's a bad (or a 'not so good') whisky? Surely not !
But it's true it's hard to be 'lyric' about a whisky when there's one particular element in it, that disturbs the overall balance for you.

Like I said... looking forward to the Linkwood, to compare it with some other Linkwoods I have at home

Mmm Glen Elgin. I think it would be rude not to have the 2nd Glenburgie also \:\)

The first cask of 25 yo Glen Elgin has been bottled and is now available on our internet shop, in the first instance to existing forum members only (ie up to member no 2317 Harald registered on 9th March.) I think Florence has put it up on the forum in such a way as only existing forum members who login can view it.
If there are any bottles remaining after a week they will probably be offered for sale at retail prices on our internet shop.
The forum price is £36, sorry no further forum discount. If you want one please try to order it on the shop. It is likely to be Tuesday or Wednesday before we can begin posting them out. Florence will probably email all forum members individually some time tomorrow.

Well done Sandor, yours' is probably the first order, hopefully the first of many. I'll check it out on the shop and if it's the first order I'll ensure that you get Bottle No 2 ... my son Martin takes No1 for he does the bottling.

This was not my first or last order....
I look forward to come and pick them up at the distillery (or shall I wait and try to build a bigger stack then Åke?)

Thanks for giving us these extremly welcome forum bottlings!

Sándor was indeed the first by a healthy margin of two minutes.
I should add in fairness by way of advice to those of you who are ordering other bottles, I will be bottling the 26 yo Linkwood probably on Monday, I'll gauge it tomorrow to work out the contents and strength and from that the price. The Cambus will probably be a couple of weeks yet. Therefore if you wish to hold back on any of the other forum bottles, until you know what your full choice is, please do so, but if you definitely want the Glen Elgin, then order it asap.
