Please tell me that this is some kind of early April Fool:

"Bladnoch distillery is no longer in the hands of the Armstrong brothers. I heard from both Raymond and Colin on Friday and they've allowed a liquidator to come in and take control of the company."

I'm afraid is is no April Fool. The gates have been closed all week and visitors have been turned away.
The court case was heard last week and Colin won his petition to put the company into liquidation.
Sad days, Rab.

A sad day indeed...lovely distillery, fantastic whisky, great price, no 'premiumisation'...a combination that seems to be sadly missing from most of the whisky 'world' these days!

Any news on what might happen to the distillery/stocks?

P77

Hi P77 the distillery and other assets are entirely in the hands of the receiver. I have no more knowledge than you but it is highly probable that it will be sold as a going concern. Raymond

Echo the sentiments about, terrible news for everyone involved with Bladnoch and for all the hard work they've put in over the years.

I'm surprised this has taken so long to come out .
Monday was a very sad day for Raymond , Florence , the staff and good friends of Bladnoch .
Now hopefully Raymond and Florence can get on with a normal life.....
It's been coming for a while and sadly it arrived .
End of a great Era !

I'm sitting here having a dram of the Bladnoch 11yr lightly peated.
Feels like I've just lost a good friend.

Out of respect for Raymond can i ask that people don't speculate as to what has happened (there will be enough of that going on elsewhere.....) , if he or any of the other Ex-directors want to tell us they will .
Thanks
